Feb. 16th:
In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 23 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 17 extra patrol requests, 1 juvenile, met with 1 subject, 1
rescue, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 reckless driver, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
57 calls including 15 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 13 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no
subjects were booked into the Marion County Jail.
Feb. 17th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 21 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 15 extra patrol requests, 2 reckless drivers, 1 incomplete 911, 1 rescue call, 1
welfare check, and 1 suspicious person.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 35 calls including 12 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Corrie Jo Simmons, age 49 of Knoxville, was booked in on a judgment
entry/mittimus.
Feb. 18th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 21 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 5 extra patrol requests, 3 motorist assists, 3 paper service attempts, 2 return calls, 2
rescues, 1 report of theft, 1 dog, 1 request to check welfare, 1 wanted person, 1
accident, and 1 other call for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 66 calls including 8 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Curtis Eugene Kane, age 63 of Otley, on a judgment entry/mittimus; Kaylnn
Rose Kienitz, age 28 of Centerville, was charged with operation without ignition
interlock, driver license denied/revoked-OWI, false id of law/public svc officer, and
driving while license is suspended.
Feb. 19th:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 23 calls for service including. but not limited
to: 7 paper service attempts, 4 extra patrol requests, 3 rescues, 3 motorist assists, 2
welfare checks, 1 return call, 1 wanted person, 1 report of debris in the roadway, and 1
other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 88 calls including 17 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the Jail: Kurtis Lee Spoelstra, age 51 of Pella, was charged with robbery in the 2nd
degree; Jacob Bryant Shives, age 30 of Knoxville, and Donald Michael Carmer, age 52
of Harvey, were both charged with driving while barred.
Feb. 20th
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 26 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 14 extra patrol requests, 2 paper service attempts, 1 rescue, 1 dog, 1 return call, 1
motorist assist, 1 assist another agency, 1 request for a vehicle unlock, 1 report of
suspicious activity, 1 incomplete 911, 1 report of a suspicious vehicle, and 1 other call
for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 53 calls including 10 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the Jail: Bobby Joe Raney, age 34 of Knoxville, on a judgment entry/mittimus;
Felipe Jr Gomez, age 40 of Knoxville, was charged with criminal mischief 3rd degree.
Feb. 21st:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 38 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 15 extra patrol requests, 10 paper service attempts, 3 follow up calls, 2 dog calls, 2
incomplete 911s, 1 suspicious person, 1 deer, 1 welfare, 1 welfare check, 1 rescue call,
1 domestic, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 77 calls including 22 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Cassandra Jean McCormick, age 19 of Knoxville, was charged with failure to
appear/contempt of court.
Feb. 22nd:
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 34 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 8 extra patrol requests, 6 paper service attempts, 4 motorist assists, 3 follow up
calls, 1 accident, met with 1 subject, 1 welfare check, 1 transport, 1 incomplete 911, 1
wanted subject, 1 harassment, 1 reckless driver, and 1 juvenile.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 78 calls including 18 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 21 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 9 subjects were booked
into the jail: Marco Antonio Mendoza Hernandez, age 23 of Des Moines, Image Allijh
Philtor Lee, age 22 of Des Moines, Kap Cung, age 45 of Clive, William Andrew Curtis,
age 50 of Des Moines, Jesus Daniel Nunez Mendoza, age 18 of Des Moines, Emanuel
Cornilous Macklin, age 20 of Hammond, IN, Matthew Paul Kaufman, age 48 of Des
Moines, and Ami Doris Martin, age 44 of Knoxville, are all being held for another
agency; Akelle Emmanuel Utong, age 22 of Des Moines, was charged with violation of
probation.
