In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 22 calls for service
including, but not limited to, 10 extra patrol requests, 3 rescue calls, 2 motorist assists, 1
reckless driver, 1 suspicious person, 1 livestock call, 1 trespass, 1 vehicle unlock, 1
suspicious vehicle, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
133 calls including 18 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 26 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Dustin Dwain Brees, age 43 of Melcher, was
charged with interfere with official acts-bodily injuries, and possession of control
substance- 1,2,3rd; Justin Lee South, age 26 of Norwalk, was charged with contempt-
violation no contact order; Steven James Allsup, age 24 of Ames, was charged with
driver license denied/revoked-OWI, and possession of controlled substance-marijuana 1st.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 17 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 4 extra patrol requests, 2 rescue calls, 1 domestic, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 deer, 1
theft, 1 harassment, 1 dog, 1 motorist assist, 1 incomplete 911, 1 accident, and 2 other
calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 72 calls including 27 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 24 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the jail: Vinson Deshawn Swanks, age 42 of Knoxville, was charged with domestic
assault-bodily injuries-1s; Brittany Irene Saar, age 35 of Knoxville, was changed with
OWI-1st offense, reckless driving, and provide proof of financial liability; Matthew John
Davis, age 41 of Pella, was charged with violation of probation.

to: 20 extra patrol requests, 3 paper service attempts, 3 return calls, 3 accidents, 2
wanted subjects, met 1 subject, 1 harassment, 1 motorist assist, 1 cat, 1 welfare check,
1 reckless driver, 1 deer, 1 dispute, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 142 calls including 34 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Janna Kay Bales, age 47 of Des Moines, and Barry Paul Bennett Jr, 48 of
Knoxville, were both charged with failure to appear/contempt of court.

to: 11 extra patrol requests, returned 4 phone calls, 3 follow-up calls, 2 paper service
attempts, 2 motorist assists, 2 rescue calls, 1 fire alarm, 1 reckless driver, 1 vehicle
unlock, met with 1 subject, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 92 calls including 24 911 calls.

into the jail: Misty Marie Brown, age 43 of Ottumwa, was charged with theft 3rd degree
>$750<$1500; Madison Roze Fee, age 32 of Oskaloosa, was charged with theft 3rd

another agency, 1 report of a suspicious person, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, 1
residential alarm, 1 report of debris in the roadway, and 2 other calls for service.

reports of suspicious people, 2 return calls, 2 vehicle inspections, 1 request to check
welfare, 1 report of reckless driver, 1 transport, 1 residential alarm, 1 request for a
vehicle unlock, 1 wanted person, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, and 1 report of a
suspicious vehicle.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 87 calls including 37 911 calls.

into the jail: Gregorio Arcadio Sanchez, age 35 of Des Moines, was charged with false
ID of law/public service officer, and public intoxication; Catherine Elaine Bolton, age 52

reports of reckless drivers, 2 motorist assists, 1 civil matter, 1 follow up, 1 dog, 1 report
of trespass, 1 returned phone call, 1 report of suspicious activity, 1 wanted person, 1
report of suspicious vehicle, and 2 other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 167 calls including 66 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 25 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 9 subjects were booked
into the jail: Shawn David Goodman, age 43 of Searsboro, was charged with driving
while barred, and possession of drug paraphernalia; Jonathan Dewayne Hamilton, age
21 of Warsaw, Mo., was charged with possession-marijuana 1st, possession of drug
paraphernalia, and ineligible to carry a weapon; Zarek Levi Harbin, age 23 of Alton, Mo.,
assault-display dangerous weapon, possession-marijuana 1st, ineligible to carry a
weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia; Samantha Jo Murphy, age 28 of
Knoxville, was booked in on a judgment entry/mittimus; David Leroy Jones, age 52 of
Pleasant Hill, Treyvon Malils Ryan Martin, age 21, and Jonathon Scott Chandler, age
29, of Des Moines, and Daniel Joseph Thurman III, age 28 of Pella, are all on hold for
other agencies.
