In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 28 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 13 extra patrol requests, 2 domestics, 2 accidents, 2
motorist assists, 2 rescues, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, 1 paper service
attempts, 1 suicidal subject, 1 juvenile, 1 report of criminal mischief, 1 request to meet a
subject, and 1 request to assist another agency.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
89 calls including 37 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 25 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no
subjects were booked into the Marion County Jail.

May 5
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 39 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 24 extra patrol checks, 3 reckless drivers, 1 return call, 1 disturbing the peace and
quiet, 1 report of harassment, 1 rescue, 1 motorist assist, 1 civil issue, 1 paper service,
1 theft, 1 request to assist another agency, and 2 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 113 calls including 34 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 25 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 5 subjects were booked
into the jail: Dillon Charles Lee Sage, age 33 of Knoxville, was charged with reckless
driving, OWI-2nd offense, and fail to provide aid/info accident; Alexzander Michael
Garcia, age 20 of Melcher, was charged with failure to appear/contempt of court;
Letisha Marie Rice, age 36 of Ottumwa, was charged with possession of a controlled
substance-marijuana 1st; Cary Joseph Rice, age 49 of Ottumwa, was charged with
possession of a controlled substance-marijuana 1st; Kasey Lee Barker, age 35 of
Newton, was charged with driving while barred.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 45 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 10 extra patrol requests, 10 paper service attempts, 4 return calls, 2 rescue calls, 2
follow up calls, 1 accident, 1 suspicious person, 1 illegal dump, 1 reckless driver, 1 civil,
1 welfare check, 1 motorist assist, 1 assist other agency, 1 incomplete 911, and 8 other
calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 114 calls including 19 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the Marion County Jail: Carlton Martinez-Hale, age 24 of Burlington, was charged
with driving under suspension, reckless driving, operate non registered vehicle, and
speeding; Richard Allen Pace, age 49 of Oskaloosa, was charged with theft 2nd against
older individual; Nicholas Dwayne Luke, age 41 of Knoxville, is being held for another
agency.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 32 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 12 extra patrol requests, 5 paper service attempts, 3 follow up calls, 2 accidents, 2
accidents, 1 suspicious activity call, 1 debris call, 1 transport, 1 welfare check, 1 grass
fire, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 reckless driver, and 3 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 123 calls including 29 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 24 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the Marion County Jail: Kaven Neil Corder, age 22 of Ottumwa, was charged with
driver’s license denied/revoked-OWI, and failure to maintain control; Payton Lee Cole
Phillips, age 26 of Knoxville, was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon no
injury, 3 counts of reckless use of a firearm with bodily injury, damaged property, and no
injury/damage, carrying a weapon while intoxicated, ineligible to carry a weapon,
dangerous weapon used in a crime, possession-marijuana 1st, and possession of drug
paraphernalia.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 34 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 11 extra patrol requests, 3 accidents, 2 rescue calls, 2 reckless drivers, 2 follow ups,
2 residential structure fires, 1 wanted subject, 1 dog call, 1 debris call, 1 transport, 1
trespass, 1 paper service attempt, and 6 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 157 calls including 35 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 25 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 5 subjects were booked
into the Marion County Jail: Donald Michael Carmer, age 53 of Harvey, was charged
with possession of a controlled substance-3rd and brought in on a judgment
entry/mittimus; David lee Money, age 29, Dantrell Akeem Jacobbie Mattews, age 31,
and Somdeth Keomany, age 58, of Des Moines, and Bryan Lopez, age 18 of Norwalk,
are being held for another agency.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 48 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 18 extra patrol checks, 7 paper service attempts, 3 motorist assists, 3 rescues, 3
return calls, 2 reckless drivers, 2 follow ups, 1 report of suspicious activity, 1 vehicle
unlock, 1 criminal mischief, 1 wanted person, 1 vehicle inspection, 1 dog call, 1 vehicle
accident, and 3 other calls.

into the Marion County Jail: Sean Kenneth Murphy, age 18 of Knoxville, was charged
with criminal mischief-5th degree and trespass 1st off; David Wayne Schell, age 61 of
Runnells, was charged with 2 counts of violation of probation.

assists with other agencies, 2 suspicious persons calls, 2 accidents, 1 suspicious
vehicle, 1 reckless driver report, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 incomplete 911, 1 fraud call, 1
report of theft, 1 residential alarm, 1 livestock call, and 1 DPQ.

the Marion County Jail: Alex Lee Hindman, age 18 of Des Moines, was charged with
