In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 30 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 12 extra patrol requests, 6 rescue calls, 2 other calls, 2
paper service attempts, 1 motorist assist, 1 power line call, 1 dog call, 1 vehicle unlock,
1 trespass, 1 animal bite, met with 1 subject, and 1 violation of no contact order.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
87 calls including 36 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 26 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject
was booked into the jail: Chase Edwin Lee Britton, age 21 of Pleasantville, was charged
with OWI-1st offense.
June 30
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 29 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 6 extra patrol requests, 2 return calls, 1 report of fireworks, 1 domestic, 1 incomplete
911, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 request to check welfare, 1 wanted person, 1 report of
suspicious activity, 1 report of reckless driver, 1 rescue, and 1 report of a suspicious
vehicle.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 91 calls including 27 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 28 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the jail: Kasie Rae Patterson, age 45 of Harvey, was charged with possession of
drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance 2nd; Jordan Daniel Swank,
age 35 of Oskaloosa, was charged with driving under suspension; Shawn Duane
Gerom, age 53 of Harvey, was charged with driving under suspension; Dan Lynn Polzin,
age 68 of Des Moines, was charged with 2 counts of failure to appear/contempt court.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 32 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 10 extra patrol requests, 3 return phone calls, 3 motorist assists, 2 juvenile calls, 2
paper service attempts, 1 dog call, 1 suspicious person, 1 domestic, 1 vehicle
inspection, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 report of a reckless driver, 1 controlled burn, 1 rescue
call, 1 harassment call, 1 wanted person, 1 vehicle accident, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 120 calls including 30 911 calls.

into the jail: Nicole Alan Miller, age 45 of Knoxville, was charged with driving under
suspension, and possession of drug paraphernalia; Eric Lee Wickliff, age 49 of Newton,
was charged with harassment-2nd degree.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 37 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 9 extra patrol checks, 3 reckless drivers, 3 follow ups, 3 return calls, 2 paper service
attempts, 2 suspicious persons, 2 rescues, 2 dog calls, 2 wanted subject, 1 welfare
check, 1 report of fireworks, 1 criminal mischief, 1 motorist assist, 1 report of a deer in
the roadway, 1 report of harassment, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 report of an intoxicated
driver, 1 request to assist another agency, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 157 calls including 42 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the jail: Curtis Eugene Kane, age 63 of Otley, was charged with burglary 3rd
degree, theft 4th degree >$300<$750, and reckless use of fire/explosives; Emily Grace
DeMoss, age 24 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI-2nd offense, 3 counts of child
endangerment, and 3 counts of abandonment/neglect of a dependent person; Jordan
Daniel Swank, age 35 of Oskaloosa, was charged with theft 5th degree <$300,
possession of drug paraphernalia, and fraudulent use of registration.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 29 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 4 extra patrols, 4 paper service attempts, 4 vehicle inspections, 3 follow up calls, 1
return call, 1 domestic, 1 welfare check, 1 transport, met with 1 subject, 1 theft, 1
wanted subject, 1 theft, 1 wanted subject, 1 rescue call, 1 motorist assist, 1 accident, 1
civil call, 1 atv call, 1 dispute, and 1 livestock call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 167 calls including 51 911 calls.

into the jail: Stephen Michael Mata Visser, age 40 of Knoxville, was charged with
driver’s license denied/revoked-OWI; Gary Lee Galvin Jr, age 55 of Harvey, was
charged with violation of no contact order-domestic; Nicholas James Perkins, age 39 of
Centerville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Tyler Wayne Joynt,
age 44 of Knoxville, was charged with possession of marijuana 2nd and possession of
drug paraphernalia; Michael Anthony Dethrow, age 27 of Knoxville, was charged with
driving while barred; Brandon Michael Petersen, age 40 of Omaha, NE, was charged
with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana 1st, and possession of drug
paraphernalia; Jacob Russell Reed, age 47 of Bussey, was charged with interference
with official act, possession-marijuana 1st, 2 counts of possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession controlled substance-1,2,3rd, going armed with intent, and
assault-display dangerous weapon.

to: 10 paper service attempts, 4 extra patrol requests, 3 reckless drivers, 3 fire alarms, 2
follow up calls, 2 suspicious activity calls, 2 rescue calls, 1 horse, 1 motorist assist, 1
structure fire, 1 welfare check, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 dog call, 1 incomplete 911, 1 civil call,
1 intoxicated subject, and 2 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 142 calls including 39 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 22 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 5 subjects were booked
into the jail: Alexander Michael Garcia, age 20 of Melcher, was charged with driving
while barred; Raeleigh Grace Weldon, age 23 of Knoxville, is on hold-court order; Bryan
Lee Davis, age 57 of Chariton, was charged with theft 5th degree < $300; Kenyon
Montez Reed, age 31 of Knoxville, was charged with driving while barred; Eric Michael
Hanna, age 33 of Albia, was charged with child endangerment.
