In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 38 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 5 rescue calls, 4 extra patrol requests, 4 fireworks calls, 3
paper service attempts, 3 other calls, 2 suspicious persons, 2 reports of debris in the
roadway, 2 assist of another agency, 2 motorist assists, 2 welfare checks, 2 dog calls, 1
wanted person, 1 report of livestock, 1 return call, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 vehicle accident, 1
follow up, and 1 violation of no contact order.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
112 calls including 39 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 6 subjects
were booked into the jail: Scott Lee Hansaker, age 52 of Melcher, was charged with
driving under suspension, open container-driver 21+years of age, failure to obey stop
sign/yield row; possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with official act; Mark
Edward Burns, age 54 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI-1st offense, fraudulent use
of registration, and possession-marijuana 1st; Rodney Lee Fee, age 68 of Otley, was
charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; Robert Lee Fee, age 56 of Oskaloosa,
was charged with violation of no contact order-domestic; Bonnie Hopkins, age 59 of
Knoxville, was charged with OWI-1st offense, child endangerment, operation without
registration, and provide proof of financial liability; Tyler Wayn Joynt, age 44 of
Knoxville, was charged with burglary 3rd degree.
July 7
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 20 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 2 extra patrol request, 2 paper service attempts, 1 report of fireworks, 1 dispute, 1
theft, 1 report of reckless driver, 1 request to check welfare, 1 report of trespass, 1
accident, 1 report of debris in the roadway, 1 dog, 1 report of harassment, 1 return call,
1 juvenile, 1 vehicle fire, 1 residential alarm, 1 incomplete 911, and 1 other call for
service
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 101 calls including 37 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 22 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the jail: Jim Soichy, age 30 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI 1st offense,
possession of drug paraphernalia, provide proof financial liability, possession of
marijuana 1st, 2 counts of child endangerment; Charles William Galeazzi III, age 37 of
Knoxville, was charged with domestic assault bodily injury 1st; Tanner Austin Smith, age
19 of Des Moines, was charged with operate vehicle without owner consent, and
criminal mischief 3rd degree; Jordan Daniel Swank, age 35 of Oskaloosa, was charged
with control firearm/weapon by a felon, trafficking stolen weapons 1st, possession
substance 3rd, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of RX drug.
July 8
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 18 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 6 extra patrol requests, 3 return phone calls, 3 motorist assists, 1 report of a reckless
driver, met with 1 subject, 1 wanted person, 1 report of debris in the roadway, 1 rescue
call, and 1 vehicle unlock.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 102 calls including 28 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 25 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 6 subjects were booked
into the jail: Jordan Daniel Swank, age 35 of Oskaloosa, was charged with burglary 3rd
degree; Timothy Francis Mullenschlader, age 38 of Fenton, Mo., is being held for
another agency; Curtis Ray Redmon, age 55 of Harvey, judgment entry/mittimus; Gary
Lee Galvin, age 55 of Harvey, was charged with 4 counts of violation of probation,
violation no contact order-domestic, stalking-violate protective order, and burglary 3rd-
vehicle 1st offence; Bruce Allen Beals, age 46 of Albia, was charged with driving while
barred, and controlled substance methamphetamine.
July 9
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 33 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 8 extra patrol requests, 5 paper service attempts, 4 follow ups, 3 motorist assists, 2
suspicious vehicles, 2 rescue calls, 1 residential alarm, 1 wanted person, 1 return call, 1
report of a reckless driver, 1 civil call, 1 vehicle accident, 1 fireworks call, 1 assisting of
another agency, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 89 calls including 33 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 31 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 7 subjects were booked
into the jail: James Joseph Vazquez, age 28 of Knoxville, was charged with domestic
assault-bodily injury-1st; Jay Dean Vroegh, age 67 of Knoxville, was charged with
violation no contact order-domestic; Justin Patrick Johnson, age 47, Alexander Gomez,
age 37, David Charles Fisher, age 49, Joseph Allan Thomason, age 46, Hernandez
Jose Vazquez, age 28, all of Des Moines, are all being held for other agencies.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 28 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 3 reckless drivers, 3 extra patrol requests, 3 rescue calls, 2 motorist assists, 2
parking complaints, 1 deer, 1 transport, 1 harassment, 1 wanted subject, 1 follow up
call, 1 debris in roadway, 1 return call, 1 violation of no contact order, 1 theft, 1
residential alarm, 1 civil call, 1 suspicious person, 1 fireworks call, and 2 other calls.

the jail: Michael Anthony Dethrow, age 27 of Knoxville, was charged with driving while

to: 10 paper service attempts, 3 incomplete 911s, 2 extra patrol requests, 2 transports, 2
follow up calls, 2 suspicious vehicles, 2 rescue calls, 1 accident, 1 theft, 1 wanted
subject, met with 1 subject, 1 criminal mischief, 1 suspicious person, 1 vehicle unlock, 1
suspicious activity, 1 suspicious item, 1 motorist assist, and 1 dispute.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 83 calls including 21 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 31 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the jail: Saide Jean, age 18 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI 1st offense, minor
use tobacco/vape product, and improper use of lanes; Oscar Madueno, age 31 of
Ottumwa, was charged with eluding; Billy Gene Flesher, age 58 of Pleasantville, and
David Wayne Schell, age 61 of Runnells, were booked in on judgment entry/mittimus.

to: 6 paper service attempts, 5 extra patrol requests, 3 incomplete 911s, 3 motorist
assists, 2 debris in the roadway calls, 2 reckless drivers, 1 suicidal subject, 1 livestock
call, 1 deer, 1 vehicle inspection, 1 accident, met with 1 subject, 1 domestic, 1 juvenile,
1 suspicious person, 1 transport, and 3 other calls.

into the jail: Mark Jacob Humphrey, age 40 of Oskaloosa, on a judgment entry/mittimus;
Joseph Eugene Gray, age 35 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI-1st offense, and
possession-marijuana 1st; Andrew Gene Ratliff, age 36 of Knoxville, was charged with
animal neglect-with injury or death; Meagan Renae Ratliff, age 27 of Knoxville, was
charged with domestic assault-bodily injury-1 st .
