In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 29 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 6 extra patrol requests, 4 paper service attempts, 2 reckless
drivers, 2 motorist assists, met with 2 subjects, returned 2 phone calls, 1 rescue, 1 dog
call, 1 vehicle inspection, 1 trespass, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 illegal dump, 1 incomplete 911,
1 firework call, 1 suspicious person, 1 intoxicated driver, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office communications center fielded
77 calls, including 28 911 calls. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked into the
Marion County Jail.
July 14
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 17 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 3 extra patrol requests, 2 motorists assists, 1 livestock call, 1 aircraft call, 1 cat, 1
found item, met with 1 subject, 1 rescue call, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 welfare check, 1
suspicious vehicle, 1 return call, 1 accident, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 92 calls including 32 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 32 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the Marion County Jail: Chelsea Anne Fisher, age 36 of Des Moines, was charged with
possession-marijuana 1st .
July 15
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 34 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 6 extra patrol checks, 6 paper service attempts, 2 meet subjects, 2 vehicle accidents,
1 follow up, 1 rescue, 1 dog call, 1 illegal dump, 1 motorist assist, 1 civil call, 1 report of
debris in the roadway, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 domestic, 1 trespass, 1 transport, 1 violation
of no contact order, 1 dispute, and 5 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 122 calls including 32 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 34 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 5 subjects were booked
into the Marion County Jail: Sinsay Andrew Keothammakhoun, age 39 of Altoona, was
charged with OWI-1st offense; Jordan Ray McElfish, age 23 of Pella, was charged with
harassment-1st degree; Richard Francis Joynt, age 42 of Pella, was charged with
domestic abuse assault-1st; Ruben Alexis Maldonado Carlo, age 32 of Marshalltown,
was charged with driving under suspension; Brain Michael Peterson, age 28 of Melcher
Dallas, was charged with domestic assault-bodily injury-1st .
July 16
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 40 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 8 extra patrol requests, 7 paper service attempts, 3 rescues, 3 return calls, 2 reports
of suspicious vehicles, 2 reports of suspicious activity, 2 residential fires, 2 reports of
reckless drivers, 2 reports of downed power lines, 1 request to meet a subject, 1
motorist assist, 1 report of a suspicious person, 1 report of debris in the roadway, 1
juvenile, 1 request to assist another agency, and 3 other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 92 calls including 25 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 32 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Destiny Jezreel Reed, age 21 of Knoxville, was charged with drug tax
stamp violations, and 2 counts of a controlled substance 1,2,3rd; Corey Joe Wheeler,
age 37 of Des Moines, was charged with speeding, possession marijuana 3rd, and drug
tax stamp violations.
July 17
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 23 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 6 extra patrol requests, 3 motorist assists, 2 follow ups, 2 reports of debris in the
roadway, 2 paper service attempts, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 juvenile, 1 report of criminal
mischief, 1 report of fireworks, 1 report of fraud, 1 wanted person, 1 rescue, and 1
residential fire.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 76 calls including 10 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 33 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Jason Michael Melbourne, age 43 of Rockwell, Texas, was brought in on a
judgment entry/mittimus.
July 18
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 21 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 7 extra patrol requests, 5 extra patrol requests, 2 follow up calls, 1 suspicious
person, met with 1 subject, 1 return call, 1 rescue call, 1 incomplete 911, 1 domestic,
and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 72 calls including 20 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 32 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 7 subjects were booked
into the jail: Frederick Matthew Lindell-Pearson, age 46 of Knoxville, was charged with
criminal mischief 5th degree; McKenna Marie Ruthefor, age 27 of Knoxville, was
charged with violation of probation; Caleb Terrance Meador, age 28, is on hold for other
agency; Peggy Sue Vanderlinden, age 58 of Knoxville, was charged with domestic
abuse assault-1st; Shelby Wayne Shunk, age 30 of Newton, was charged with OWI-1st
offense, and possession-marijuana 1st; Sadie Jean Taft, age 18 of Knoxville, was
charged with assault.
July 19
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 35 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 7 accidents, 5 extra patrol requests, 3 incomplete 911 calls, 2 fights, 2 reckless
drivers, 2 follow up calls, 2 paper service attempts, 2 motorist assists, 1 fraud, 1
transport, 1 business alarm, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 welfare check, 1 return phone call, 1
juvenile, and 3 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 194 calls including 68 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 27 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Joseph Allan Godfroy, age 56 of Altoona, was charged with driving while license
is denied/revoked-OWI.
