In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 39 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 8 rescues, 5 extra patrol requests, 4 reports of reckless
drivers, 3 incomplete 911s, 2 reports of theft, 2 reports of suspicious people, 2 paper
service attempts, 1 dispute, 1 report of suspicious vehicle, 1 requests to check welfare,
1 motorist assist, 1 request to meet a subject, 1 domestic, 1 business alarm, 1 juvenile,
1 dog, 1 request to assist another agency, 1 report of livestock out, and 2 other calls for
service.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
129 calls including 43 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 26 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 7 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Michael David Adams, age 54 of Lawrence,
Kan., was charged with possession of controlled substance-marijuana 1st, possession
of controlled substance 1,2,3rd, possession of drug paraphernalia, ineligible to carry
weapon, and control firearm/offensive weapon by felon; Blake Nels Lapp, age 40 of
Tucson, Ariz., OWI 1st offense; David D Rankin, age 51 of Knoxville, was charged with
driver's license denied/revoked-OWI; Linnea Marie Franklin, age 27 of Des Moines, was
charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, violation-financial liability accident, and
no valid driver’s license; Alison Nicole Brozek, age 30 of Des Moines, and Amber Dawn
Hutchinson, age 51 of Newton, were charged with OWI 1st offense; Brian Eugene
Erwin, age 40 of Crown Point, IN, was charged with possession of a controlled
substance.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 25 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 3 extra patrol requests, 3 motorist assists, 2 incomplete 911 calls, 2 return calls, 2
found items, 1 report of an assault, 1 request for a welfare check, 1 report of suspicious
activity, 1 report of livestock in the roadway, 1 dog, 1 accident, 1 rescue, 1 request for a
vehicle unlock, 1 business alarm, 1 intoxicated person, and 3 other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 67 calls including 15 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 21 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 5 subjects were booked
into the jail: Daniel J Gatson, age 28 of Waukesha, Wis., was charged with domestic
abuse assault 1 st and public intoxication; Kami Marie Ronk, age 45 of Kokmo, Ind., and
Aaron William Kerr, age 30 of Albia, were charged with OWI 1st offense; Hallie Faith
Vanmeter, age 24 of Pella, was charged with domestic assault with weapon 1st and
going armed with intent; Marquis Devareye Thomas, age 19 of Munster, Ind., was
charged with possession of marijuana 1st, ineligible to carry weapon, and speeding.

calls, 2 follow-up calls, 2 accidents, 2 livestock calls, 1 transport, 1 reckless driver, met
with 1 subject, 1 violation of a no contact order, and 6 other calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 112 calls including 38 911 calls.

the jail: Angela Sue Hanke, age 60 of Knoxville, was charged with violation no contact
order-domestic.

assists, 2 suspicious person, 2 transports, 1 animal bite, 1 welfare check, 1 follow up
call, met with 1 subject, 1 rescue call, 1 domestic, 1 suicidal subject, 1 theft, 1 debris in
the roadway, 1 suspicious activity, and 4 other calls.

Leroy De Heer, age 68 of Knoxville, was charged with OWI-1st offense.
