In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 22 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 3 paper service attempts, 3 suspicious persons, 3 extra
patrol requests, 3 accidents, 2 rescue calls, 2 motorist assist, 2 reckless drivers, 1
wanted subject, 1 suspicious activity, 1 follow up call, and 1 illegal burn.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s office communications center fielded
109 calls including 29 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 24 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects
were booked into the Marion County Jail: Donald Michael Carmer, age 53 of Harvey,
was charged with driving while barred; Gary Leroy Vander Heiden, age 73 of Harvey,
was charged with driver’s license denied/revoked-owi, and driving while license
suspended
Sept. 1
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 23 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 12 extra patrol checks, 2 reckless drivers, 2 paper service attempts, 2 reports of
suspicious activity, 1 follow up, 1 rescue, 1 motorist assist, 1 accident, and 1 other call
for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 79 calls including 22 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 2 subjects were booked
into the jail: Daniel Joseph Williams, age 30 of Bussey, was charged with 2 counts of
violation of probation, eluding, and ATV-lights and brakes required; Patrick Lynn
Johnson, age 50 of Newton, was charged with driving under suspension.

to: 3 return phone calls, 2 domestic, 2 extra patrol request, 2 incomplete 911s, 1 animal
bite, 1 harassment, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 rescue, 1 theft, 1 juvenile, 1 ATV call, 1
suspicious person, 1 motorist assist, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 74 calls including 23 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 23 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the Jail: Kenneth Laverne Crawford Jr, age 64 of Pleasantville, was charged with
assault; Robert Allen Kline, age 52 of Knoxville, was charged with contempt-violation no
contact order; Sidinia Faith Goodwin, age 52 of Knoxville, was charged with domestic
assault-bodily injury-1st; Frederick Matthew Lindeli-Pearson, age 46 of Knoxville, was
charged with theft 4th degree>$300<$750.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 25 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 5 paper service requests, 3 reports of reckless drivers, 2 extra patrol requests, 2
rescues, 2 accidents, 2 phone calls returned, 1 civil matter, 1 report of suspicious
activity, 1 suicidal subject, 1 grass fire, 1 vehicle fire, 1 motorist assist, 1 transport, 1
vehicle unlock, and 1 report of livestock in the roadway.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 85 calls including 24 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 21 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 3 subjects were booked
into the Jail: Antonio Moralez, age 18 of Prairie City, was charged with reckless driving,
and speeding; Misty Marie Brown, age 44 of Ottumwa, and Geffrey August Williams,
age 29 of Montecello, were both charged with failure to appear/ contempt of court.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 22 calls for service including, but not limited
to 4 follow ups, 3 accidents, 3 paper service attempts, 2 incomplete 911s, 1 rescue, 1
request to meet a subject, 1 motorist assist, 1 report of fraud, returned 1 call, 1 civil
matter, and 1 other call for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 62 calls including 15 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 18 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.
Sept. 5
In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 25 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 8 extra patrol checks, 3 rescue calls, 2 livestock calls, 1 incomplete 911s, 1 follow up,
1 paper service, 1 reckless driver, 1 suspicious person, 1 return call, 1 ATV call, 1
domestic, 1 welfare check, 1 suspicious activity, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 81 calls including 14 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 19 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Jerry Bruce Schrader, age 67 of Dallas, was charged with controlled firearm/off
weapon by a felon.

reckless drivers, 2 rescues, 2 debris, 2 fights, 1 dog, 1 livestock, 1 return phone call,
and 1 other call

were booked into the Marion County Jail: Brian Michael Peterson, age 28 of Melcher
Dallas, was charged with drug tax stamp violation, and possession of marijuana 2nd;
Julianne Joe Beckett, age 26 of Melcher, was charged with driving while barred;
Zachary Isaac Bridgford, age 27 of Oskalloosa, Chris Ray Tio, age 31 of Knoxville, and
Kevin Christopher Mortenson, age 40 of Knoxville, were all charged with judgment
entry/mittimus; Ray A Goines, age 35 of Cedar Rapids, was charged with driving while
license denied/revoked-owi, and operate non registered vehicle; Christopher Lee Horne,
age 39 of Des Moines, and Eli Denton Colvin, age 30 of Des Moines, are both on hold
for another agency.
