Not your average traffic stop…
Today our officers picked up a very unusual resident roaming around Pella—a bearded dragon! Now, we’re pretty good at handling traffic, calls for service, and the occasional loose dog or cat… but we’ll admit, bearded dragons are a little out of our wheelhouse.
We don’t exactly have the resources (or the heat lamps) to keep this scaly friend comfortable, so if you or someone you know is missing a bearded dragon, please give us a call at 641-628-4921!
In the meantime, we’ll be brushing up on our Dragon Handling 101 training manual.
UPDATE: Although the owner has still not been found, the dragon is being cared for by Van Wyk Veterinary Clinic. If you are the owner or know the owner give us a call.
