Lee Allen Miller, age 71, formerly of the Hampton area, passed away peacefully on
October 31, 2025, at Accura Healthcare in Knoxville. A private family service will be
held at the Phelps Cemetery near Decorah and will be held at a later date. Online

Lee was born October 21, 1954, in Decorah, Iowa to Leonard and Helen Miller, the
youngest of six children. He grew up in Hampton, Iowa and graduated from Hampton
High School in 1972. In high school, Lee worked as a lifeguard in the summer. He
enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Lee also enjoyed sending greeting cards to his family
for all occasions.
In spite of Lee’s mental health challenges, Lee always remained kind and grateful for all
the kindness extended towards him. He loved people and was very sociable. Lee and
his family appreciated the excellent care and meaningful friendships he experienced at
Accura Healthcare in Knoxville.
Survivors include his siblings: Jane (Frank) Grundmeier, Mary Kramer, Edward (Becky)
Miller, and Anne (Steve) Paullus; 11 nieces and nephews; and 20 great nieces and
nephews; along with other extended family and friends.
Preceding Lee in death are his parents: Leonard and Helen; brother, Charles Miller;
“favorite” �� brother-in-law, Yale Kramer; and infant nephew, Wade Grundmeier.
