Sally Job

January 12, 2026

Sally Job died at age 70 in Knoxville, Iowa, on January 10, 2026. Though Sally was born in Lewiston, Idaho, she spent most of her life in Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School, class of 1973. She earned a BA from Simpson College, with certificates in Elementary and Special Education, and was active in the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
Sally’s career as a teacher brought her from Iowa to Kansas and Florida. She was a dramatic individual who loved to participate in theater arts. She was involved with both the Knoxville Area Community Theatre and Union Street Players Community Theatre in Pella.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents D. Lewis Job and Nancy Dukes Job. She is survived by her brothers David J. Job (wife Marinke Van Gelder) and W. Alexander Job (wife Jeannie Job) and her nieces Madeline Job and Jillian Job, and many members of her extended family.
The family extends gratitude to the friends and family who visited Sally, and to all the people who cared for her during the three years she spent in nursing care after suffering a debilitating stroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knoxville Area Community Theatre. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Knoxville is assisting her family with arrangements.
