In the past 24 hours, Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 16 calls for service
including, but not limited to: 4 extra patrol requests, 2 requests for assistance, 1 request
to check welfare, 1 report of suspicious activity, 1 motorist assists, 1 deer, 1 report of a
reckless driver, 1 transport, 1 report of debris in the roadway, 1 rescue, and 2 other calls
for service.
In the past 24 hours, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office communications center fielded
73 calls including 12 911 calls.
The Marion County Jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject
was booked into the Marion County Jail: Weston Michael Witzenburg, age 35 of Pella,
was charged with criminal mischief 5th degree, and willful injury-bodily injury.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 27 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 14 extra patrol requests, 3 rescues, 2 reports of a suspicious vehicle, 1 request to
check welfare, 1 report of harassment, 1 report of suspicious odor, 1 paper service, 1
accident, and 3 other calls for service.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 61 calls including 24 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 15 subjects. In the past 24 hours, no subjects were booked
into the jail.

In the past 24 hours, deputies responded to 23 calls for service including, but not limited
to: 5 extra patrol requests, 2 rescue calls, 2 paper service attempts, 2 follow up calls, 2
debris in the roadway calls, 1 dog call, 1 return call, 1 suspicious person, 1 vehicle fire,
1 wanted subject, 1 reckless driver, 1 accident, 1 motorist assist, 1 incomplete 911, and
1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 96 calls including 37 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 1 subject was booked into
the jail: Seth Michael Christiansen, age 24 of Pella, was charged with criminal mischief
4th $300-$750.

to: 6 extra patrol requests, 2 paper service attempts, 2 rescue calls, 1 transport, 1 follow
up call, 1 person with a gun, 1 suspicious activity, 1 motorist assist, 1 wanted subject, 1
accident, and 1 other call.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 74 calls including 22 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the jail: Kyle Clifton Wiand, age 41 of Pleasantville, is being held for another
agency; Bailey Alexandra Kline, age 26 of Knoxville, was charged with possession of
marijuana-3rd; Alexander John Hutton, age 33 of Indianola, was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia, and no valid driver’s license; Shane Christian
Sylvester, age 37 of Knoxville, was charged with violation no contact order-domestic.

to: 9 extra patrol requests, 3 rescue calls, 3 paper service attempts, 2 follow up calls, 1
accident, 1 deer, 1 suspicious vehicle, 1 livestock call, 1 vehicle unlock, 1 domestic, 1
debris in the roadway, 1 reckless driver, 1 criminal mischief, 1 transport, and 3 other
calls.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 100 calls including 28 911 calls.

harassment, 1 person with a gun, 1 welfare check, 1 accident, 1 return call, and 1 other
call.

the jail: Chadly Dean Geery, age 54 of Desoto, was charged with violation of probation.

to: 7 extra patrol requests, 3 rescues, 1 report of a reckless driver, 1 accident, 1 report
of criminal mischief, 1 paper service attempt, 1 civil matter, 1 request to check welfare, 1
follow up, 1 request to unlock a vehicle, 1 return call, 1 residential alarm, and 1 report of
suspicious activity.
In the past 24 hours, the communications center fielded 106 calls including 21 911 calls.
The jail is currently holding 14 subjects. In the past 24 hours, 4 subjects were booked
into the jail: Nicolas Jason Phelps, age 47 of Ottumwa, was charged with 2 counts of
possession of controlled substance 3rd, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while
barred, speeding, provide proof financial liability, operate non-registered vehicle, and
drug tax stamp violations; Donald Jeorge Parsons, age 41 of Knoxville, on a judgement
entry/mittimus; Michael Brent Vanderlinden, age 74 of Pella, was charged with failure to
appear/contempt of court and possession of controlled substance 1,2,3rd; Samantha
Joann Hope, age 32 of Des Moines, was charged with driver’s license denied/revoked-
OWI.
