Pella Police Report Oct. 13-19, 2024

The Pella Police Department engaged in the following activities during the week of Oct.
13-19, 2024: 211 calls for service, 16 traffic citations, 27 traffic warnings, one parking
ticket, six accidents, two arrests, six charges, one juvenile referral and three warrant
arrests.

COMMUNICATION CENTER WEEKLY STATS
The Pella Police Department Communications Center engaged in the following activities
during the same period: 245 incoming telephone calls and 44 total incoming 911 calls.
JUVENILE REFERRAL:
• On 10/18/24, a juvenile from Pella was referred to Juvenile Court Services for
harassment 3rd degree. The juvenile was cited and released to a guardian.
ARRESTS:
• On 10/15/24, a subject from Pleasantville was charged with possession of drug
paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana 1st. The subject
was cited with a court date.
• On 10/17/24, a subject from Des Moines was charged with OWI 1st and carrying a
weapon while intoxicated. The subject was incarcerated.
WARRANTS:
• On 10/13/24, a subject from Ottumwa was picked up on an Ottumwa PD warrant. The
subject was transported to the Marion County Jail to await extradition.
• On 10/17/24, a subject from Pella was picked up on a Jasper County warrant. The
subject was extradited by a Jasper County deputy.
