Larry Gullion was born on March 12, 1952, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Glen and Marie

He attended Knoxville schools and worked many different jobs throughout his life,
including farming, working at lumber yards, 3M, and as a self-employed carpenter. Larry

time as a carpenter and took great pride in being able to create something from nothing
with his hands.
On May 25, 1973, Larry married Lila DeZwarte, and together they built a life centered
around faith, family, and hard work. They would have soon celebrated their 53rd
wedding anniversary. Together they were blessed with seven children and seventeen
grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Lori (Randy) Lunsford and their children, Matthew,
Ben, and Elizabeth; son, Joe Gullion and his children: Amanda, Austin, Autumn, and
Aubrey; son, Dan (Anne) Gullion and their children: Dane, Dawson, and Driver; son,
Tim; son, Ed (Jessica) Gullion and their children: Bailey and Taylor; son, Jon; and

is also survived by his sister, Linda Gullion; his father-in-law, Loren DeZwarte; along
with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Marie Gullion; his sister, Betty
Gullion, who died in infancy; his mother-in-law, Beulah (DeVries) DeZwarte; and his
granddaughter, Sarah Lunsford, who also died in infancy.
