Weiler D1075 Blasthole Drill is a Top 4 Finalist in the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa
The Weiler D1075 Blasthole Drill has advanced to a Top 4 Finalist in Iowa Association of Business and Industry’s (ABI) 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa competition. The Top 4 products will compete in a popular vote to determine the winning product.
The D1075 is manufactured from raw steel to final product at Weiler’s Knoxville manufacturing facility requiring 350 production hours from the Weiler team of machinists, welders, painters and assemblers. Utilized in mining and quarry applications, the D1075 is capable of drilling holes up to 8” in diameter and to a depth of 147’ through hard rock. The D1075 is used by contractors in Iowa and throughout North America.
Voting for the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Iowa begins on Tuesday, May 5 and concludes at midnight on Friday, May 15. Individuals can vote for the D1075 once per day, per device at www.coolestthingia.com.
The winner will be announced Live at ABI’s Taking Care of Business Conference on Wednesday, June 3 in Coralville.
