Angie Rozenboom — Shining Star for Pella Regional
Angie Rozenboom, RN, BSN, Hospice of Pella, was selected as Pella Regional Health Center’s Shining Star for her high-performance standards.
Rozenboom, resident of Bussey, was nominated based on commitment, attitude, and communication.
Excerpt from her nomination:
“I recently had a hospice referral come in late on a Friday afternoon. I called Angie, who had just completed her last visit of the day about a half-hour outside of Pella. While the referral could have waited until the next day, Angie didn’t want to cause any delay in communication or support for the patient and their spouse. She made the trip back to Pella that evening to visit with them right away.
“This is just one example of the way Angie consistently puts patients and their families first. She provides prompt, compassionate communication during an incredibly difficult time and helps make the transition to hospice as smooth as possible. Angie brings empathy, understanding and specialized knowledge to every interaction, helping patients and families feel supported when they need it most.
“I truly enjoy working with Angie and know that whenever I have a question or need assistance, she is always quick to respond. Her dedication to her patients, her compassion for families and her willingness to go the extra mile are exactly what the Shining Star Award represents.”
Rozenboom will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the nominations for the Shining Star of the Year award.”
