August 25, 2026

A celebration of life service for Tom Weldon, 64, of Bussey, will be held Saturday,
August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Knoxville. In lieu
of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Tiffani Weldon.
Thomas Albert Weldon was born June 3, 1962, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Guy and Myrna
(Marshall) Weldon. He grew up in Pershing, Iowa, and attended Twin Cedars High
School with the Class of 1982.
After high school, Tom headed to Texas with friends, where he worked construction, had
plenty of fun, and began collecting the stories and friendships that would follow him
throughout his life. Tom knew how to enjoy life. He made memories wherever he went
and treasured time spent with the people he loved, whether they lived nearby or miles
away.
Tom was truly the life of the party. He loved being surrounded by friends, sharing
stories, listening to music, laughing, and making sure everyone around him was having
a good time. He was also incredibly generous. Tom was a giver, never expecting
anything in return. He accepted people for who they were, passed little judgment, and
had a way of making just about anyone feel like a friend.
He also knew the value of hard work. Throughout his life, Tom could usually be found
working construction or behind the wheel of a truck, most recently with Shinn Trucking.
Some of his favorite jobs were those that allowed him to work alongside his best friends,
including Randy at Manatt’s and Greg Coalbank at General Construction.
When he wasn't working, Tom was almost always with family and friends. For the past
twenty years, one of his favorite traditions was the annual Memorial Day weekend
fishing and camping trip with his family. He loved searching for arrowheads, rock
hunting, and fishing. Music was a huge part of Toms life and the life of his family. Often
with him playing guitar around the campfire. In early years it was watching his dad, Guy
on the slap base, and watching his brothers and cousins in “Phoenix” and most recently
his son, nephew and cousins in “Quarter Inch Jack”. Tom was a lifelong Sprint Car fan
and loved the excitement of the races. In more recent years, he and Jeff also had plenty
of fun perfecting their moonshine and, in true Tom fashion, sharing the results with
friends. Whatever Tom was doing, the activity itself was only part of the fun. What
mattered most were the people doing it alongside him.
Tom loved big, and over the years his family grew just as big. His journey through life
included several relationships and marriages, but one of the remarkable things about
Tom was his ability to remain friends with so many people who had been part of his life.
There was always room for one more person in Tom's circle.
Tom had Chad and Zach with Teena Waits; Amie with MaryGeo Ocker; Rachael with
Beth Hogue. Tom and Tiffani were married in 2004 and blessed with Jayden and
Jordyn, and he welcomed Melana and Dalton into the family as his own. Through all the
different chapters of his life, the common thread was family. Tom loved them deeply, and
he was proud of the large, wonderfully blended family that surrounded him.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife, Tiffani; children: Chad (Mishey) Weldon, Zach
(Kayla) Weldon, Amie Weldon, Rachael Hogue, Melana (Tyler) Garcia, Dalton Garcia,
Jayden Weldon, and Jordyn (Kaden Lint) Weldon; grandchildren: Joss, Cezlie, Maison,
Cole, Skyler, Zoey, Bella, Kenzlee, Tomie (Matthew), Johnna, Parker, Toryn, Tanner,
and Trapper; great-grandchildren: Asher, Salem, Elliott “Bill,” and Benjamin; brother,
Dave “Eightball” Weldon; sister, Angie (Donnie) Vance; along with many nieces,
nephews, relatives, and an incredible number of friends gathered throughout a life well
lived.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Myrna Weldon; brothers, Charles
and Steve Weldon; nephew Guy; great nephew Charles; and his best friend, Randy
Test.
Tom's life wasn't about keeping things quiet or ordinary. It was about working hard,
loving big, having fun, accepting people as they were, and making memories with the
people who mattered. Whether around a campfire, at the races, out fishing, playing
music, or simply gathered with friends, Tom knew that life was better when it was
shared.
