Democrats' Picnic and Pie Auction Sept. 20

Join the Marion County Democratic Party for our 2026 Picnic & Pie Auction on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 1–4 p.m. at Lake Red Rock’s North Overlook Shelter. 
Come enjoy a free taco lunch (vegetarian option available), connect with friends and neighbors, meet Democratic candidates, and bid on delicious homemade pies and other treats. Guaranteed to add to the fun, this year’s guest auctioneers are Taylor Wettach, candidate for Iowa State Auditor, and Spencer Waugh, candidate for Iowa House District 21. Pies and other baked items will be auctioned at this popular annual social event and fundraiser.  Donations are also welcome.  
Most of all come, be part of a Democratic community that welcomes new voices, fresh ideas, and everyone who believes in personal liberty, constitutional rights, affordable healthcare, fair elections, fair wages, a strong middle class, and clean water.
