Angula Jo Jones was born July 28, 1963, to Lodus and Ruth (Evans) Jones Sr. Known
to everyone as Angie, she grew up in Pershing, Iowa, and graduated from Twin Cedars
High School in 1981.
Angie married Montie Conrad, and together they had two sons, Dustin and Rusty. In
2023, Angie married Norman Dean Simmons.
Angie was a hardworking woman with a generous heart. She spent eight years working
as a cook at the Knoxville Hospital, a job she truly enjoyed. She loved cooking and the
people she worked with. Over the years, she also worked at Casey's and Rolscreen in
Pella. Never one to shy away from hard work, Angie also cleaned houses and helped
care for elderly friends and family members.
If there was one thing that defined Angie, it was her willingness to help others. She was
generous to a fault, often putting the needs of those around her ahead of her own. Even
when she could have used a helping hand herself, she was the first to offer one to
someone
else. It was simply who she was.
In her free time, Angie enjoyed rock hunting, always keeping an eye out for a special
find. She also had a soft spot for her beloved dogs, Shiloh and Kiwi, who brought her
much companionship and joy. Angie appreciated the simple things in life and found
purpose in staying busy, caring for others, and lending a hand wherever she was
needed.
Angie passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 63. Those left to cherish her
memory include her husband, Norman Simmons; sons, Dustin and Rusty Conrad;
sisters, Teresa Jones, Kim Jones-Lyons, and Jackie Jones; aunt, Susan Evans; along
with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Angie has always been thankful for her life
long and true best friend, Susan Dabb; and for Meredith Johnson who she enjoyed
having in her life and thought of her as a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lodus and Ruth Jones Sr.; and her brother,
Lodie Jones Jr.
